TRANSPORT / EXCURSION

For travelers coming from outside Indonesia, the most convenient route is to fly to Jakarta and then take a direct flight to Sorong. These flights typically depart around midnight or 1:00 AM and arrive in Sorong early in the morning, around 6:00 AM.

Alternatively, you can fly to Bali and continue your journey to Sorong from there. Flights from Bali to Sorong include both direct options and those with a layover in Makassar. This route is ideal if you're planning to include Bali in your travel itinerary.

From Sorong, we can arrange a direct transfer for you, or you can take the public boat to Waisai Harbor, which departs at 9:00 AM. Or 2:00 PM. We’ll be happy to pick you up from Waisai upon arrival.
The transfer from Waisai Harbor to Wai Island takes approximately 1 hour and can be arranged every day.
The transfer from Sorong takes approximately 2 and a half hours, depending on weather conditions, and can be arranged every day.

Yes, we require a transfer request to be made at least one week in advance.
No, the resort is not responsible for delays that result in extra costs for accommodation or flight changes.

Yes, all our rates include breakfast, lunch, dinner, water, coffee, and tea.
Yes, please inform us in advance of your specific dietary requirements, and we will coordinate with our chef. We can arrange vegan, vegetarian, and other specific menus. Note that we are located in a remote area, and supply is a big challenge, but rest assured that our team will do its best to make your menu as varied as possible.
No, Wai Resort is located on a private island and does not have any other restaurants or markets except for the resort's restaurant.

Yes, we offer packages that include 2 dives a day, excluding check-in and check-out days. We also proudly add one night dive during your stay in our house lagoon.
Yes, we have daily diving activities.
Yes, you can rent BCDs, regulators, dive suits, masks, fins, and snorkels directly at the resort.
The average distance to our dive sites is around 7 km. For example, during a 5-day diving adventure, we typically visit destinations like Kri Island, Mansuar, and Magic Jetty, which are located farther than 7 km from our starting point. On other days, we may explore closer sites such as an airplane wreck and a house reef.

Please note that the exact dive locations are determined on the island by our dive master. This decision takes into account various factors, including guests’ skill levels, weather conditions, and any specific requests. Our priority is to provide a safe and memorable diving experience tailored to your preferences and abilities.

Yes, we kindly ask for a 50% deposit to secure your reservation, which is non-refundable. However, we offer the flexibility to reschedule your stay within 12 months from your original check-in date. A secure payment link is provided for your convenience to pay the deposit using your credit card. Once we receive confirmation of your booking, we can hold your room for one week while awaiting proof of transfer.
